Do not joke about Serious Things

I have been trying to come up with some kind of cartoon in response to those who say “how darest thou make light and mockery of Serious Things!”. Mostly of course these are Very Serious Psychiatrists who don’t like jokes about the overuse of CBT in the NHS or the the DSM. But verily! if I vexeth those who impose their will of doom upon the unsuspecting masses then I have the right to be-mock them in cartoon form!

So here’s my first attempt at the topic with a little Freud and Jung on The Mount.

Hmmm…”do not Har – harbour ill feeling towards any living thing” (yeh, I know); “do no Har – harm to one’s fellow living things”. “do no Har – harlequin hand-stands in the street, otherwise….” The possibilities are endless! I think it was Oscar Wilde who said “Life is much too short to be taken seriously…” or words to that effect. Excellent cartoon — one must go to the mountain for such insights. Liked.
