Another bit of mental health doodling.
A friend of mine on Twitter was having a most righteous rant about the quasi stigma-promoting.. er.. promotion of “celebrities” who have overcome their mental health issues and are now lauded as heroes and heroines. Meanwhile, not much is said of those who struggle year after year with cycles of recovery and failure. As if it’s ok to talk about it if it’s in your past.. where something so shameful belongs!
It’s kind of like parading slim and trim new celebrity mommies across the covers of magazines. Let’s keep the reality of most people well hidden, eh?
So in celebration of this counter-movement, here’s a tshirt just for you..

LOL…good observation, reaction! If only once we are healed that was it and there were no more hiccups, bad hair days, terrible people to associate with, uninteresting and mind-numbing jobs to go to, and on and on, wouldn’t life be simply wonderful?! LOL again! But, then, we’d have nothing to complain about……..
